This fall treat yourself to a unique mountain painting retreat at the Lost Trail Lodge. The Lost Trail Lodge is located 3.7 miles south of Donner Lake CA (elevation 6300) in the scenic Coldstream Canyon. 

Nestled on the edge of two creeks and a pristine alpine meadow,  our guests will enjoy  2 full days and 3 nights of abstract acrylic painting, lodging, meals,  guided hiking and pure mountain relaxation. A variety of shared or private accommodations are listed below.  Each workshop will accommodate up to 8 guests. Guests will supply their own painting materials or materials can be provided for an additional charge. All levels of painting experience welcome!

The painting portion of the retreat will focus on using fluid acrylics and a variety of techniques to interpret elements of nature into unique abstracted  landscapes. Join us for a refreshing  intuitive exploration of color, texture, and form in this inspiring mountain setting.

THURSDAY
2:00 or 4:00
Guests will arrive at either 2:00pm or 4:00pm at a designated meeting area at the Donner Lake Exit off of interstate I-80 in Truckee, CA. We will escort you to a parking area and shuttle you the remaining 3.7 miles to the Lodge. Guests with Sport Utility or 4WD vehicles may elect to skip the shuttle and drive the remaining distance to the Lodge.

RATES:
The prices listed below are per person and  include:
Fri / Sat Painting Workshop Instruction, 2 optional guided Sierra hikes, round trip shuttle from Donner Lake to the Lodge, meals w/ non alcoholic beverages (2 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 2 Dinners) and 3 nights of accommodations. Guests may bring their own wine or alcoholic beverages.

EARLY BIRD RATES: Register by June 1, 2008 and deduct 10% off the rates listed below.

Sitting room downstairs, queen bed in loft. Sunken river rock Jacuzzi tub, private bath, gas fireplace, refrigerator. Private entrance from deck as well as from inside the lodge.

Lodge Cabin 2
Queen bed downstairs, 3 twin beds in loft. Private bath, gas fireplace. Private entrance from deck as well as from inside the lodge.

Queen bed downstairs, 2 twin beds in loft. Private bath w/ river rock Jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace. Private entrance from deck as well as from inside the lodge.

**If you would like to bring a non painting guest (family member or friend) to join you at the lodge, deduct 300. from the per person cost of the non painting guest.

The lodge also has a spacious living room / sitting area with fireplace and a large gourmet kitchen. The kitchen is also available to guests for use in between meals or for late night snacks.

Fine Print: A 50% non refundable deposit is due to reserve a space in the workshop. The balance is due 60 days before the workshop. Due to the limited space available on these workshops, we will not be able to offer refunds.
